Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm Mon-Fri Standby & Overtime when necessary
 
Key Role and Responsibilities:
 
Pre-sales to internal & client facing staff, design and installation of new IT systems.
To produce technical sales proposals and present the technical aspect of those proposals to the customer giving clear evidence as to how their business needs will be met.
Create a project plan for implementation of technical solutions for client and manage projects through to ‘go live’ ensuring all is delivered on time and to budget 
Ensure the delivery of each client's specific technology requirements, remote and/or on-site.
Find potential products, evaluate and negotiate costs with suppliers ensuring best value for money is achieved
To provide day to day customer technical support to ensure solutions are provided quickly enabling the customer to resume working as soon as possible 
Ensuring tickets are completed and closed off in line with company procedures and displaying excellent customer service.
Contributing to an effective service team performance by meeting daily, weekly and monthly KPIs by monitoring own personal performance against SLAs.
To review & monitor client systems to ensure they are running well, and usage is optimised 
Help continually look for ways to improve the way IT services are offered and delivered to customers such that we remain ahead of the field and retain our preferred supplier status.
Technical audits to be carried out on request for new and existing customers.
To support internal systems for DVAD to enable the business to operate efficiently and effectively 
To ensure timely completion of all administrative documentation to ensure our internal processes remain correct and up to date. 
 
 
Skills & Experience:
 
At least 3 year's relevant IT industry experience and 1 year working with an MSP
Strong technical skills and knowledge in all areas including but not exclusive to, Windows server 2003 and above (including SBS), Exchange server 2008 upwards, VMware/Hyper-V, SQL, and RMM systems.
A proven track record of customer service management and relationship management.
Active Directory configuration and administration, strong networking skills.
Microsoft 365 and Azure configuration, deployment and migration experience.
Good understanding of Enterprise hosting solutions and outsourced services.
Knowledge of installing computer software, hardware, setting up new users and PCs and diagnosing software errors.
Passion to remain up to date with the latest developments.
Extremely good communication skills, both written and oral.
The ability to multitask, handling tickets and individuals with equal ease and professionalism.
An out-of-box thinker who won't settle for the initial solution or idea but will always seek the best solution available for the client.
Windows configuration and support experience (MCP or above preferred). – Desirable
If an issue with a server arises when powering on, the successful candidate should have the skills required to diagnose/fix, so that the customer is left with a working server.
 
 
To be successful and happy in your job with us you need to be ambitious, determined, positive, outgoing and totally committed!  You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a field based environment covering pre-sales, first and second line support, project installation and management and you will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  
Your Technical Skills should include Microsoft MTA, MCSA and MCSE qualifications (minimum MCSA required).  Plus knowledge of security protocols, IT Systems, and networking infrastructures.

What will you be doing?

  • Contacting existing customers with a strong focus on customer service as well as up-selling & cross-selling
  • Proactively identifying business and sales opportunities when talking to customers and seeking additional revenue for the company.
  • Initially desk based in our Huddersfield office, you will be starting your Sales Career with Direct Voice & Data. Progression is always available for strong individuals.

Experience Required:

A minimum of 2+ years Telesales or telephone account/business development experience, ideally in a Telecoms or IT related role. Business to Business sales environment is essential.

Key Role and Responsibilities;

  • Site surveys.
  • Termination and installation of Cat 5E/6.
  • Install, programme and commission PBX/IP/VOIP telephone systems.
  • Planning and co-ordinating the installation of Telecom associated equipment
  • Train customers on use of systems.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot system faults as required on customer sites
  • Office based1st line support.
  • To provide accurate and prompt reporting.
  • Liaise with and update other departments.

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Possess a proven track record with an extensive knowledge – primarily involving field installation/maintenance of ideally Avaya IP Office/Panasonic/Alcatel PBX/IP Telephony Systems or similar Samsun, NEC, Mitel etc.)
  • Able to work towards and meet tight deadlines.
  • Have a flexible approach to the working day.
  • Understand moves and changes to PABX systems
  • Basic networking principals
  • A high attention to detail.
  • Experience of programming and diagnostics
  • Previous proven engineering experience within a telecoms engineering environment.

  • Identify and converting new business opportunities with new B2B clients

Product Knowledge Required:

Telephone System sales knowledge, calls & lines quotation/sales, B2B telecoms sales.

We are not specific on system types as training will be provided, but ideally some experience of Avaya/Alcatel-Lucent/Panasonic/Gamma Horizon would be beneficial.
