Dedicated Internet Access

Leased Lines, Ethernet First Mile (EFM) and Fibre
to the Cabinet (FTTC) for dedicated internet access

Direct Voice and Data partner with CityFibre to provide high capacity connectivity options.

Direct Voice and Data has a range of dedicated internet connections, so we can work with you to find exactly the right one. We offer an end-to-end solution including all installation, support and maintenance requirements.

Ethernet First Mile (EFM)

EFM is ideal for replacing legacy solutions including ISDN and SDSL. Because it uses existing copper lines rather than fibre, an EFM internet connection is a more affordable option than a standard leased line, with faster installation, resilient SLAs and symmetric bandwidth.

  • Alternative Internet Access – an affordable option that offers significant cost savings when compared to fibre and leased lines.
  • Guaranteed Bandwidth – mission critical connectivity providing you with a reliable and resilient service that is covered by an SLA.
  • Exclusive Connection – dedicated line, so the speeds to your business premises will not be negatively impacted during peak times.

Our standard EFM solution delivers guaranteed minimum upstream and downstream speeds, with a maximum speed of up to 10Mbps. It offers an ideal option for growing businesses with the ability to support IP telephony and hosted services.

Key Features

Business Benefits

  • Symmetric bandwidth

Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)

FTTC, also referred to as superfast fibre broadband, provides much higher upstream and downstream speeds versus traditional ADSL. Its advanced capabilities offer a range of benefits to businesses, which can help them boost efficiency, productivity and collaboration.

  • Highspeed Connection – Up to 40Mbps downstream and a choice of 2Mbps or 10Mbps upstream using a fibre line network.
  • Added Productivity – The speed, resilience and stability to run real-time applications and cloud-based services to boost the productivity of your staff.
  • Reduced Costs – Makes it possible to replace costly software licenses with cloud-based services to lower expenditure and minimise your internal IT support resource.

FTTC internet is the latest technology in high-speed data services that makes use of fibre connections to the street cabinet. Fibre broadband is delivered to the premises over a standard telephone line using DSL technology, but from the cabinet back to the exchange is hi-speed fibre optics. The shorter the distance the signal travels, the faster the speed.

  • Guaranteed throughput
  • End-to-end solution
